Whangapoua Beach is a 2 hours 40 minutes drive from Auckland, on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula.  It is approximately 12km from Coromandel township and 30km north of Whitianga.

Coromandel Peninsula is a rugged range with a history of volcanic activity giving it unique landscapes.  The Mercury Islands are directly offshore and are a haven for boating, fishing and diving.
